Watch Two Russians Drift Through The Streets Of Saint Petersburg | Carscoops

A noted Russian drift team by the name of ‘The Evil Empire’ recently had the rare opportunity to take two of their Flanker-F drift cars through the streets of Saint Petersburg.

This high-octane clip shows a duo of Flanker-F models sliding in tandem through the city, leaving thick black marks along the streets and plums of tire smoke around every corner. The result is a video more akin to a Gymkhana film from Ken Block than the videos we’re used to seeing out of Russia.

The first thing that may strike you about the Flanker-F is that it looks much like a Zenvo ST1 and you’re not wrong. In fact, both the front and rear fascias are very similar to the Danish hypercar. However, the Flanker-F was built from the ground-up by the drifting team.

Most of the car’s exterior body panels are made from lightweight composite materials with a powerful 7.6-liter V8 engine located up front. This engine is good for 640 hp and 560 lb-ft (760 Nm) of torque at the wheels and is paired with a sequential transmission. Other high-end parts used by the Flanker-F include Kenetica Suspension race coilovers and Wilwood brakes.

The Evil Empire worked with local authorities to shut down some of the bustling Russian city’s roads to make the film. There is even a small cameo from a local police car and dozens of spectators can be seen lining the streets.
