The new Kia K8 is one of the automaker’s most striking new models and while we won’t get it here in the United States as a replacement to the Cadenza, YouTuber Asian Petrolhead has had the opportunity to test it out in Korea.
The first aspect of the new K8 that really catches the eye is the bold exterior styling. Dominating the front end is a massive tiger-nose grille with a diamond-shaped mesh design. This diamond-shape continues into the LED daytime running lights and gives the sedan a unique character unlike any other Kia model. These intriguing looks continue at the rear where you will find bold taillights and a prominent LED lightbar.

This review doesn’t focus too much on the exterior design of the new K8 but it does provide an in-depth look at the interior. Dominating the cabin are a pair of 12.3-inch curved screens used for both the gauge cluster and infotainment system. Kia has also equipped the new K8 with a 12-inch head-up display that the reviewer is very fond of.
One particularly interesting thing found in the cabin relates to the volume adjustment and climate control. Often, cars feature separate dials for the climate control, volume, and radio tuning. With the new Kia K8, the left dial can control the volume while the right dial can control the tuning but if you press one of the dashboard’s touchscreen buttons, these dials switch to controlling the temperate for the driver and passenger.
In Korea, the new K8 is offered with a 2.5-liter inline-four producing 195 hp, a 3.5-liter V6 with 295 hp, and a 3.5-liter LPI (Liquid Propane Injection) engine with 236 hp. The K8 featured in this review had the 3.5-liter V6.
