The world of driver-focused, analog sports cars and supercars is coming to an end as we know it and in his most recent review, Doug DeMuro had the opportunity to compare two of the finest analog supercars alongside each other; the Ferrari F40 and Porsche Carrera GT.

Unlike most of DeMuro’s reviews where he goes into every tiny detail of the vehicle he is testing, most of this video is focused on the driving impressions of the two mid-engined supercars. That’s fitting as the F40 and Carrera GT remain some of the most iconic supercars ever built.

The YouTuber admits to always being a fan of the Carrera GT, describing it as the best car ever made. He adds that the clutch and shifter are the finest of any car and is also very complimentary of the steering. Of course, the real highlight of the Carrera GT is its beloved 5.7-liter naturally-aspirated V10 that sings unlike any other production car engine.

During the second half of the review, DeMuro spends time in the Ferrari F40. While many people look at the F40 as some kind of track-focused monster that is far too harsh to drive on the road, the YouTuber says that it is actually a great car to drive on the road, comparing it to the feeling you get when driving a go-kart. Sure, it isn’t as well put together as the Carrera GT and also lacks many creature comforts but it is a proper driver’s car.
