Ferrari introduced the FF back in 2011 and it was quite the shocker, to say the least.
In a surprising move, the Italian car manufacturer created a luxurious shooting brake with four seats and four-wheel drive. It may have rubbed some Ferrari purists the wrong way but as Doug DeMuro recently discovered, it is now becoming quite good value for the money… for a Ferrari.
The YouTuber begins his review in the cabin of the FF. Despite being very tall, DeMuro is able to fit into one of the FF’s rear seats but says it is tolerable and not comfortable. For children, it would offer more than enough space. Rear-seat passengers also have access to cupholders, climate control vents, and charging sockets.

The powertrain of the FF is also worth mentioning. At the time of its launch, it had the largest-capacity engine installed in a road-going Ferrari; a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 churning out 650 hp at 8,000 rpm and 504 lb-ft (683 Nm) of torque at 6,000 rpm coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Then there’s the four-wheel drive system.
Sitting at the front of the V12 is a front-wheel drive transmission with two forward speeds plus reverse. This transmission works alongside a seven-speed gearbox in the rear of the FF while power is sent through two hydraulic multiplate clutches on the driver’s side. It may sound very complicated but it is actually lighter than a traditional four-wheel drive system.
