Jaguar has announced that they will go fully electric from 2025. Currently, though, they do have ICE-powered models in their range, one of which is the updated F-Pace SVR.
Presented at the end of last year, the performance SUV features the revised styling of the regular variants, albeit with a sporty touch. Moreover, the 2021 F-Pace SVR now comes with a stiffer suspension set-up, sharper throttle response and lighter wheels.

The supercharged 5.0-liter V8 carries over from the previous generation. Nonetheless, it now gets the torque converter from the XE SV Project 8, so it is a bit torquier. The V8 delivers 542 HP and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm), which are channeled to the all-wheel drive system through an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF. It can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.8 seconds, down from 4.1 seconds in the previous model, and top speed has been slightly increased to 178 mph (286 km/h).
Inside, the infotainment system isn’t incorporated into the dashboard anymore. It has an 11.4-inch curved touchscreen display, supports smartphone integration and Bluetooth, and is quite intuitive, according to the reviewer. The head-up display was also praised, and so was the overall build quality and design of the SUV, and its precise cornering capabilities, not to mention that V8 sound.
But is it actually worth getting the 2021 F-Pace SVR over the competition? The market is oversaturated with high-riders, and this includes performance models too, so what does the Jag have that its rivals don’t?
