With the embargo on driving impressions lifted, reviews of the 2021 BMW M3 and M4 have been posted up to YouTube in bulk and down below you’ll find some of the best and most comprehensive reviews out there.

The example tested by the TV host was finished in the new Isle of Man Green paint. It is eye-catching but Harris isn’t a fan of the design, suggesting that it isn’t actually the grille that puts him off the most, but rather some of the other design elements like the wing mirrors and front wheel arches.

Styling aside, how does it drive? Harris says the engine provides exceptionally on-track performance. The new 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six has very little turbo lag and while BMW claims it has 503 hp, the journo says it feels faster than that figure would suggest. The new eight-speed automatic transmission is a significant downgrade, however, compared to the dual-clutch system of the previous-generation car.

BMW M3s have always handled brilliantly and it is no different with the new car. In fact, Harris says the steering is absolutely superb. The car also provides huge levels of traction, so much so that Harris initially thought he was driving an all-wheel drive model, rather than the rear-wheel drive variant he was actually driving.
