The full-size Ford Bronco is the one that has been getting all the attention, but the smaller, more road-focused Bronco Sport is still an impressive piece of kit in its own right.
Those in the market for the Bronco Sport have two engines to choose from. The entry-level one is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder that delivers 181 hp and 190 lb-ft (257 Nm) of torque, whereas higher-end models come equipped with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder rated at 245 hp and 275 lb-ft (372 Nm) of torque. Both engines are coupled exclusively to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

As Doug DeMuro recently discovered when reviewing the Bronco Sport, the SUV is filled with a number of interesting features. For example, there is a hidden storage compartment under the passenger-side rear seat. Speaking of the rear, the Bronco Sport offers huge amounts of headroom but unfortunately, legroom is restrictive, meaning the SUV isn’t all that convenient for transporting tall adults around in the rear.
Up front, the Bronco Sport sports a prominent 8-inch infotainment system and a partially digital instrument cluster that alters the graphics depending on what driving mode you’re in. The Bronco Sport also includes a GOAT (Go Over Any Terrain) Mode selection that allows drivers to switch off the traction control, lock the rear differential, lock the four-wheel drive, and enable Trial Control which is like cruise control for off-road trails.
