Few cars depreciate more quickly than luxury offerings from premium German brands like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi. Just take a look at this Mercedes-Benz E 500 currently up for sale through Auto Europa Naples in Florida.

The used car dealer and Bill, one of its salesman, love to make tongue-in-cheek videos about some of the vehicles it has in its inventory and this overview of an E500 is one of its finest.

The seller notes that 2003-2006 E500 models sold for over $60,000 when new but can now be purchased for less than 10 per cent of that. Does that make them a good buy for those in the market for a cheap yet luxurious used car? Not necessarily.

For 90 per cent of people, Auto Europa Naples says a used Mercedes like this is not a good used car to buy. For another 8 per cent of people it could be a “maybe” while for “2 per cent of weirdos, it’s an emphatic yes.”

Mercedes-Benz produced the W211 in E500 form between 2003 and 2006 where it initially sat below the E 55 AMG in the range before the likes of the E 550 and E63 AMG were both launched in 2006. Power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that’s good for 302 hp at 5,600 rpm and 339 lb-ft (459 Nm) of torque at 2,700 rpm.

As for the cabin, there are some very nice features, including four-zone climate control as well as a “great little spot [in the armrest] to store a compact 9 mm or a 380,” in addition to places to rest “your narcotics.”
