Fiat Chrysler Automobiles designers Ralph Gilles and Mark Trostle asked homebound enthusiasts to submit sketches of the “wickedest and most outrageous designs for a Ram truck.” They got more than 200 entries, and each chose five standouts to highlight on Instagram last week. The winners — their creators didn’t really win anything, other than fleeting social media stardom — included a Ram-Challenger mashup (chosen by Trostle) and an electric rover with a see-through front end (chosen by Gilles).

In addition to fighting boredom, the contest aimed to publicize FCA’s Drive for Design program for high school students considering a career in automotive design.
