A Christmas-themed winter wonderland with holiday lights and even a mailbox for letters to Santa was a huge hit for Rainforest Car Wash, drawing hundreds of vehicles at locations in suburban Cleveland such as this one in Medina, Ohio.
“People really like it,” said Trevor Gile, executive partner of Motorcars Consulting.
The wash is part of a shift away from the dealership business for the Gile family, who plan to sell their final location, a Toyota store in Cleveland Heights, this spring.
Last fall, a haunted theme helped draw crowds who waited two to three hours to get vehicles washed on Friday and Saturday evenings, typically not business hours. “It just went viral,” Gile said.
