A $300,000 McLaren owned by Cincinnati Reds pitcher Trevor Bauer was totaled while parked inside a dealership showroom in Houston.

It wasn’t a case of revenge by the Houston Astros for Bauer’s suggestion in 2018 that the team might have doctored baseballs. The culprit was a “rogue tire” from a semitruck driving past on the freeway, TV station KHOU reported.

“The tire came loose from an 18-wheeler, rolled across six lanes of traffic, struck a wall and then went through the glass window before landing on top of Bauer’s ride,” the station reported. The 2016 650S was reportedly insured, and there were no injuries.

Bauer tweeted a photo of the destruction, noting that it seems like a scene from an insurance commercial.

“Yesterday, if you told me a semi truck would total my McLaren, I would’ve believed you,” Bauer wrote. “If you told me it would happen like THIS? I would’ve said you’re out of your mind. If this isn’t @Mayhem I don’t know what is @Allstate.”
